Arbor Low Stone Circle

Arbor Low is a Neolithic henge monument in the Peak District, Derbyshire, started in around 2500 BC.

  1. Tried to visit it early one morning last summer. Put my pound in collecting tin; followed public footpath; found myself in a field with a bull; decided to return another day.


    1. Apparently the Duke of Devonshire visited alone one morning on his way back from New York. I imagine it would be quite embarrassing for the farmer if he got killed by his bull!
